Circuitron 6100 Remote Tortoise Mount
The CircuitronĀ Remote Tortoiseā¢ Mount consists of a molded base mechanism to which the TORTOISEā¢ (notĀ included) is mounted.Ā An adjustable lever armĀ is fastened onto theĀ TORTOISEā¢ output andĀ drives a stainless steelĀ wire inside a flexibleĀ teflon tube, much like aĀ sub-miniature chokeĀ cable. This thin wireĀ attaches to a compactĀ actuator mechanism andĀ is mounted beneath the turnout. It includes a spring wire and brass tube to transmit the motion to the points above. The mounting bracket (with TORTOISEā¢) may be secured in any position and up to 18ā away from the turnout pointsāeven above the layout inside a structure, if desired. The points actuating mechanism requires 1/2ā clearance under the turnout sub-roadbed. The RTM is fully adjustable for all scales and brands of turnouts
